Creating a Cover Letter With No Contact Person's Name
The cover letter is a tool to help you introduce yourself to a potential employer in a memorable, personal way.
A well-crafted cover letter expands the information on your resume for the reader, highlighting some of your skills and accomplishments.
If you cannot find the name of a contact person to whom you can address your letter, do not say "Dear Hiring Manager." Instead, type "Human Resource Director" at the top of the inside address. Then type a subject line that states the title of the position instead of a salutation. Here's an example:
Subject: Medical Assistant Position
Plan the content of your letter based on the requirements of the job you’re applying for; be sure to carefully study the requirements in each job posting as you write the letter to apply for that position.
