GUIDANCE FOR BAKER COLLEGE SOCIAL MEDIA GROUP PAGES
Baker College understands that social media groups can serve as an effective means for communicating ideas as well as the promotion of various residence halls, student clubs, councils, departments and programs found throughout the Baker College system. The following information is intended to serve as guidance for all Baker College stakeholders requesting an official social media group page.
Separate social media accounts should not be created for any residence hall, student club, campus council or college program, unless specifically authorized by the Baker College Social media marketing manager!
- All requests for a social media group page must be made via this form. Please do not make any requests via email or telephone
- All approved social media group pages will be created under and linked to their college's corresponding official Facebook pages.
- Baker College (www.facebook.com/bakercollege)
- Culinary institute of Michigan (www.facebook.com/culnaryinstitute)
- Auto/Diesel Institute (www.facebook.com/autodieselinstitute).
- All approved social media group pages must include the College's social media marketing manager as a group administrator.
- Group page requests for any Baker College residence hall must be submitted by the campus residence hall coordinator (RHC). Additionally, the campus RHC must be included as a page administer and will be primarily responsible for the management of the group page.
- Group page requests for any official Baker College student club must be submitted by the faculty or staff club adviser. Additionally, the adviser must be included as a page administrator and will be primarily responsible for the management of their group page. Student clubs not already approved on their local campus will not receive a group page
- Group page requests for any Baker College department must be submitted by the department coordinator/director. Additionally, the coordinator/director must be included as a page administrator and will be primarily responsible for the management of the group page.
- Group page request for any Baker College program must be submitted by the program's respective college dean. The dean may be included as a page administrator and may choose to delegate primary responsibility for the page's content to another party.

This page is intended to engage Baker College (ADI/CIM) students, prospective students, alumni, families and friends in thoughtful and intelligent conversation about topics relevant to them and the University. We encourage people to share their stories and express their opinions, however, we reserve the right to hide or remove comments that we deem to be any of the following:
- A personal attack on another commenter or member of the BC community
- A deliberate misrepresentation of users' comments or other content on the page
- Advertising or spam
- Defamatory, obscene, indecent or otherwise unlawful
- Inciting hatred, violence or in any other way offending anyone based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation or any physical or mental disability
- False, misleading or deceptive
