Printing
Shared spaces and landing stations do not have a wired Internet connection.
You will need to be connected to BakerWifi in order to access the Internet while using the landing station. For help connecting to Wifi please see our Wifi article.

Depending on the landing station you are using, you may have up to two extra monitors to use.
If desired, you can use both extra monitors in addition to your laptop screen.
Configuring Monitors
Right-click anywhere on the desktop after logging in. Choose “Display Settings”.

On the next screen, scroll down and find “Multiple Displays”.
Make sure that “Extend These Displays” or “Extend This Display” is selected.

Scroll up and look at the arrangement of the displays.
You can click on the “Identify” button to help determine which screen is which.
They may not appear in the same order in front of you as they do on the screen.
To fix this, simply click and drag the images so that they match what you see in front of you.
For example, if the laptop screen is number 1 and your laptop is on the right, make sure screen number 1 is on the right.

There may be external speakers or a webcam provided at your landing station.
If so, they will already be plugged into the dock and should be ready to use once your laptop is connected to the dock.
If there are none provided, you will need to use your built-in laptop speakers, webcam, and microphone.
To switch from using laptop speakers to something else at the dock .
Click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Then, select the device you want to use.

To switch from using the integrated webcam in your laptop to another one in Zoom.
First, click on your profile image in the top right corner of the Zoom window.

Select “Settings”

Then, navigate to the “Audio” section in the left side menu.
In this section, ensure that the webcam or soundbar you would like to use is selected for both Speaker and Microphone.

System-wide printing is only available for PaperCut enabled printers, which currently only applies to printers at Royal Oak. To print to these printers select "Baker Print" from your list of printers, then release your print job at the multifunction printer of your choice.
If Baker Print doesn't show up in your list of printers. Please reboot your computer. Then from the login screen first connect to BakerWiFi and then login to your computer
For printing at other campuses, please submit an IT tech support ticket requesting assistance. A technician will be able to manually setup a printer as needed.
PaperCut printing will be coming to more campuses in early 2023.
