Scholarships are a form of student aid that’s considered a gift that a student does not have to repay. They are often based on scholastic achievement or special talent and some scholarships consider a student’s financial need.

Note:  Students seeking financial assistance should also submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for grants, loans, and work-study.
