Baker College recognizes the importance of a student's commitment to their responsibilities as a member of the armed forces and we understand that it may be possible, that while attending courses, the student can be deployed. It is our goal that, if deployment occurs during a semester the student is attending, the deployment will have little to no impact on their academic progress or their financial obligations to the College. Baker College must be notified, as early as possible, regarding deployment details in order to ensure the best possible transition for students who are deployed during a semester they are actively attending.
In the event a service member becomes aware of a deployment during a semester that they are attending courses, that service member must work with their academic advisor to determine the next steps for their academic plan. The student must also email vet2vet@baker.edu with their deployment details in order to determine the effects of the deployment on their financial aid, student billing account balance, and their military education benefits.
