Introducing and Navigating Brandfolder

What is Brandfolder

Brandfolder is Baker College System’s digital asset management (DAM) system. Our DAM enables us to store, organize, retrieve, and share our digital assets.

Brandfolder is managed by the MarCom team and is currently accessible to employees of Baker College through Single Sign-On (SSO). Employees can access Brandfolder at https://brandfolder.com/bakercollege/college-assets.

Navigating Brandfolder

Brandfolder provides a modern, flat organization structure that is supplemented by a visually intuitive interface.

Organization:

Sections - are categories to which each asset belongs and generally reflect content type. Choose a section to access all assets related to that particular content type.

Pins - are saved searches that appear beneath Sections. Clicking a Featured Pin yields search results that match the associated Pin. Non-Featured Pins appear in the Pin search bar - which can be opened up.

Labels - are an enhanced organization and findability feature meant to resemble an organization's existing folder structure. Labels are particularly useful for broad searches across campuses, departments, or programs of study.

Pro Tip - Work top-down as you search for assets. For instance, if you're looking for a faculty member's headshot, be sure that either "All" or "Headshots" are highlighted in the Section area. Headshots will not appear under the "Images" Section. From there, you sort further by selecting a campus location from the "Campuses" label.

Sort By

By default, your Brandfolder is sorted by Position added. You can toggle your view to sort assets by:

  • Created - Orders by original asset creation date
  • Uploaded - Orders according to uploaded recency
  • Updated - Orders according to update recency
  • Name - Orders alphabetically
  • Popularity - Popularity is the combined events each of your assets has associated with it, like views, downloads, shares and more.

View Options

There are two options that you can choose from: thumbnail and list view.
