If you are a licensed user of Virtru, the following steps will help you install the extension in your browser and get started. If you are not licensed and have a requirement to encrypt emails, please talk to your supervisor. If approved, they can submit a ticket to request a license.
Install and Activate Virtru
Open “Google Chrome”
Browse to: https://www.virtru.com/install
Click “Install”
Now you are in the Chrome Web Store. Click “Add to Chrome”
Click “Add Extension” on the pop up message
Browse to http://gmail.baker.edu and click “Activate”
Click on your account name to sign into Virtru using your baker.edu account
Click “Done”
Using Virtru
When you Compose an email, you will have the option to toggle Virtru secure message on or off with the slider on the right.
Or click the “gear” icon to set other advanced options
