1.0 Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to outline the undergraduate admissions procedures and criteria at Baker College. This policy ensures a clear and transparent admissions process that upholds the College’s commitment to accessible higher education. It establishes expectations for applicants and promotes a fair evaluation process.

2.0 Definitions

Undergraduate- A student enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, an associate degree program, or a vocational or technical program (certificate) below the master’s level.

FASTRACK-  An aptitude assessment course designed to assist students in evaluating, developing, and enhancing skills in English and mathematics.

3.0 Scope

This policy applies to all undergraduate applicants to Baker College, including those seeking admission to associate and bachelor’s degree programs. It does not apply to graduate, Running Start, guest, or international student admissions.

4.0 Policy Statement

Baker College is committed to providing equitable access to higher education while maintaining academic integrity. The College uses clear and consistent criteria to evaluate all undergraduate applicants fairly.

Eligibility for Admission

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or an equivalent credential, such as a GED. Assessment verification may be required through high school transcripts, standardized test scores (ACT, SAT), FASTRACK results, or prior college coursework.
