What happens next?
Baker College will receive electronic notification that you completed your FAFSA. You will also receive a Student Aid Report (SAR)/FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) via email or by mail, which informs you that your application has been processed. You should review your SAR/FSS to confirm the information you entered is accurate. If necessary, you can make corrections online at studentaid.gov.
- Baker College will review your FAFSA and determine if a financial aid offer can be made or if additional information is needed.
- If your application is selected for verification the Financial Aid Office will request additional information from you. An email will be sent to your Baker College email directing you to log in to your Student Financial Aid Portal. From the portal you can review and download required documents and upload the completed information securely. Once all necessary documents are received, you will be sent a financial aid offer.
- If no additional information is required, you will receive a financial aid award offer via your Baker College email. Log in to your Student Financial Aid Portal to review your offer.
- If the financial aid offer includes a loan(s), the student will need to take action via the financial aid portal to accept, decline or reduce the loan amount. The Financial Aid Office will complete the loan certification process for all accepted loans.
