Tuition Refunds

If a St. Francis School of Law student withdraws or cancels enrollment within 5 days of the date of their signed Enrollment Agreement, they are entitled to a full (100%) refund of all monies paid for the initial term of the Enrollment Agreement that was canceled.

If a student cancels or withdraws after 5 days from the date their Enrollment Agreement is signed, tuition refunds are based on the following schedule:

NOTE:  ABSENTEEISM OR FAILURE TO BEGIN A CLASS DOES NOT REDUCE A STUDENT’S FINANCIAL OBLIGATION.

  • Weeks are defined as Monday through Sunday.
  • These percentages are based on a complete withdrawal/cancellation from the quarter (see examples below for further details).
  • After two weeks of enrollment, the enrollment fee is not refundable.
  • Students are encouraged to contact the business office at businessoffice@stfrancislaw.com or 1-800-931-2694 before withdrawing from classes to understand the complete financial impact of a withdrawal.

St. Francis School of Law tuition is charged as a flat rate for the term. The rate for the term does not vary based on the number of courses registered, the session start and end dates within the term, or session lengths within the term. Therefore, partial withdrawals during the quarter may not result in a tuition refund.

Partial Withdrawal Example: A student pays $3,250 tuition at the beginning of the quarter, covering two sessions. The student then withdraws from the first session in week 2, however remains in the second session. The student will not receive a 50% refund for the first session course because the tuition rate for the quarter is based on a flat rate for the quarter and not on the number of courses registered. The $3,250.00 flat rate remains unaltered for the term due to the student continuing in the second session course. This is the same amount the student would be charged if they had only registered for the second session course originally.

Complete Withdrawal Example: A student pays $3,250 tuition at the beginning of the quarter covering two sessions. The student then withdraws from the first session and the second session in week 2. The student will receive a 50% refund of the flat rate for the term for a total refund of $1,625.00 ($3,250.00 flat rate x 50%).

Credit Balance Refunds

Refunds are issued by check and are mailed to the student's address on record with St. Francis. No refunds will be made in cash. All refunds will be processed within 30 days.
