Nick here from Baker College Information Technology. In this video, we're going to go over how to add the Microsoft authenticator app as a multifactor authentication method. Let's get started. Open the My Baker page, click Password Management, and then choose Password Recovery Setup. This will take us to our Microsoft Security Info page. I'm going to sign into my account. In this example, no method has been set up yet, so Microsoft by default prompts you to use the Microsoft authenticator app. Click next to begin. If you do not have the authenticator app already installed on your phone, click the Download Now link to follow instructions from Microsoft on how to do so. For this example, I already have the app installed. We'll have to choose the work or school option when setting up our account. I will click next and now I need to scan the QR code for my phone. I'm going to open up the authenticator app, choose add an account Work or School, Scan a QR code, give the app permission to use my phone camera. QR code has been scanned. The phone app now has an entry for baker.edu. I'm going to click Next on my computer screen. Now I'll get prompted to enter number matching on the authenticator app. This completes activating the Microsoft authenticator app. Now you'll see on the security info page that I have a Microsoft authenticator app listed.
