When creating PDFs to be uploaded to the web, it is important to take a moment to update the PDF Title. It should display something descriptive, such as the document title or file name. If it displays something that is non-descriptive, users may have a difficult time identifying which document they are reviewing. The title for a PDF displaying in the Google web browser can be found in the upper left of the document.
Since a non-descriptive title can be very confusing to the users, here are the steps for updating the file using Foxit PDF.
Open the document in Foxit PDF and under the File tab, click on Properties. About halfway down the page, you will find the Title. You can type over, or copy and paste over, the existing title. When you are through, click the X in the upper right hand corner. You will then be prompted to save the change.
This type of change to the PDF will help the users to better identify the document they are reviewing.
