The Employer Reimbursement Payment Plan is for students whose employers help pay for their tuition. This plan lets you delay most of your tuition payments until after the semester ends, giving you time to submit your grades to your employer for reimbursement.
While you’re in the plan, you’ll make small monthly payments of 2% of your balance, and then pay the remaining amount by the final due date (which is after the semester ends).
You must enroll in this plan every semester you want to defer your tuition.
How to Qualify:
To join the Employer Reimbursement Payment Plan, you need to submit:
- A letter on company letterhead or a copy of your employer’s tuition reimbursement policy that explains their guidelines for paying tuition

Tuition Balance: $6,750.00
Payment Plan Enrollment: June 10th
Payment Installments:
You’ll make small monthly payments equal to 2% of your balance, and then pay the remaining 88% the month after the semester is over.

- 10/01: $135.00
- 11/01: $135.00
- 12/01: $135.00
- 01/01: $5,940.00
It’s your responsibility to send your employer the invoice and your final grades. Baker College does not bill employers directly under the reimbursement program.
If your employer does not cover the full amount, you are responsible for paying the remaining balance by the payment due date listed in your payment plan contract.
Enrollment Begins:
- Fall Semester: June 1st
- Spring Semester: November 1st
- Summer Semester: February 1st
When you sign up for this payment plan, you'll be charged a $35 enrollment fee. This fee is non-refundable and is collected by Illumia, who administers the payment plan.
You’re responsible for understanding the payment plan terms before you enroll. If you don’t meet those terms, Illumia may charge late fees, and you may be withdrawn from the payment plan.

After you submit the form, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
Once your enrollment is processed, you’ll get a second email confirming that you’ve been added to the payment plan. At that point, you’ll need to pay the $35 enrollment fee through the Student Billing Portal.
Enrollment Ends:
- Fall Semester: December 15th
- Spring Semester: May 15th
- Summer Semester: August 15th
Request to Withdraw From a Payment Plan:
A withdrawal from a payment plan does not reduce a student's financial obligation.
Send an email to billing@baker.edu, including:
- Your Name
- Student Number
- Semester
- Name of the payment plan you wish to have withdrawn
An email confirmation will be sent when the request to be withdrawn from the plan has been processed.
