Waiver Test Online Payments

General Waiver Test Information

Waiver testing is available for a select number of courses:
 
  • COM 1010 Composition and Critical Thinking I
  • HSC 1050 Applied Medical Terminology for Health Professionals
  • MTH 1150 Quantitative Reasoning
  • MTH 1170 College Algebra
  • SPN 1010 Spanish I
All waiver tests must be taken by the student prior to the beginning of the course. Once a student begins a course, they are not eligible to take a waiver test. The waiver test for a course may be taken only once.

Requesting a Waiver Test

You can request a waiver test for one or more of the available courses by emailing waivertesting@baker.edu. The email request should include your name, student number, and course/s for which you are requesting a waiver test. You will receive an email response to let you know if your waiver request has been approved. 

Paying an Approved Waiver Test Fee

Once you have received approval to take a waiver test, or tests, you can pay the waiver test fees on the Baker College Waiver Test Payment site. 
 
Each approved waiver test must be paid separately. 
 
  • Add the fee to your cart
    • On the site, select which waiver test course option fits your needs, if the course is not listed select Other, and enter the course number and name in the provided text box.
  • When you’re ready, click Checkout
    • After you’ve completed the waiver test course details, click Checkout.
  • Enter your information
    • Fill in your demographic/contact information and click Continue.
  • Choose how you want to pay
    • Select your payment method, enter your payment details, agree to the terms and conditions, and click Continue.
  • Review and submit
    • Look over your selection and payment details. When everything looks correct, click Pay to finish.
After your payment is successfully processed, a receipt will be emailed to you. Please keep a copy for your records. A report of your payment is also delivered to the waivertesting@baker.edu email and a follow up email will be sent to you with further instructions for scheduling your waiver test.
